''ParseXML'' Function

ParseXML function is used to create a new ADOM by parsing an XML string. If the specified ADOM already exists it is emptied before filling with the nodes parsed from the XML.

Syntax:

ParseXML(adom-scope:adom-name, xml-string)

 

adom-scope:adom-name

The scope of the source ADOM. Valid values are "r" Request, "s" Session and "a" Application.

adom-name

The name of the ADOM.

 

xml-string

The string that contains the XML to be parsed.

 

Example:

ParseXML(s:cart, '<cart><item><ID>12</ID><NAME>Desktop COmputer</NAME></item></cart>')

Parses the given XML string constant and builds the nodes of the session ADOM "cart".

ParseXML(r:orders, v:ORDERS)

Parses the XML string contained in symbol v:ORDERS and builds the nodes of request ADOM "orders".
