Inserting basic elements into page

Basic elements are the lowest level of objects that are used to build the content of a page. See Basic Elements for more info.

You can use two methods to insert basic element in to page.

1. Using Basic Elements Toolbar.

Click on the icon of the basic element on the Basic Elements Toolbar that you want to insert and click a location on the page design area to insert it.

There is an alternative way to insert the selected element on the page other than clicking on a spot on the page design area. Instead of just clicking, draw an area with the mouse (press the left mouse button and hold it down as you draw an area; then release it). This way initial size of the element is given as you insert it.

2. Using "Insert" command on the Context Menu

1.Right click on the page design area
2.Choose "Insert" from the context menu
3.Chose an element from the sub-menu

The elements are inserted in containers. Either you insert an element right into the page or in a container element (i.e. a panel). A page is a container too.

An element inherits its font and background properties from its parent container until you change them.
