Page Variants

We can create variants of different sorts for a MoreMotion page such as Language, Theme, etc.

Think about creating different language versions of a page. Normally what you would do is duplicate the pages to create the alternate language versions and the maintain them individually. You should also pay attention when linking this pages to other pages; Linking English pages to English pages, German pages to German pages etc.

MoreMotion Application Studio gives special support for page variants.

<%DESAM%> provides a mechanism to create variants of the page where page variants are based on the master (default) page. Variant pages inherit all the content from the master page dynamically. We only change what is required in a page variant. When the master page is changed, the changes are reflected to page variants. This is an important support to maintain the consistency between the master page and the variants of them.

Additionally when giving links to such pages we have to give only the name of the master page. The displaying of the page will be automated by the MoreMotion AF at the run time.
