Page Design Shortcuts

In this release (V5) some nice features and new shortcuts have been introduced to make the page designing fun.

The new shortcuts can be used when a page has a focus and it is in design mode. The majority of the new shortcuts are used by pressing directly to some keys (without CTRL or SHIFT).

Toggle the "Align To Grid Mode"

A

Align the selected elements to Grid

Q

Locates the element on the Project Explorer and transfer the focus to it. Note when "Q" is pressed again when the focus is on the project explorer it is transferred back to the page.

S

Locate the element on the Project Explorer and keep the focus. This key can be used without selecting (but pointing it with mouse) an element. You can move the mouse pointer to the elements and press "S" key to locate it on the project explorer and to display its properties on property editor.

W

Attach handles to the selected container element. The handles appear while the key is down and disappear when it is up.

F

Toggles the "CrossHair" mode. When CrossHair mode is on, additional lines attached to the selected elements are drawn on the selected elements to assist the user during moving or sizing.

While "E" key is down X coordinates of the selected elements are locked

D

While "D" key is down Y coordinates of the selected elements are locked

To Cut the selected elements

C

To Copy the selected elements

V

To Paste the copies elements. Before pressing "V" key, the left mouse button can be kept pressed to mark the coordinate to paste.

Aligns the left edges of the selected elements to the left edge of the left most element.

Aligns the top edges of the selected elements to the top edge of the top most element.

Docks the selected elements to the left

Docks the selected elements to the top

F3

Opens the default property of the element which is being pointed with the mouse in its custom editor or dialog and shows it while "F3" key is down and closes the custom editor or dialog when the key is up.
