Function "SetVar()"

Sets a security broker variable. The value of a security broker variable set by this function is preserved during the current request. The variable will not be availabe  by the successive requests unless it is set again.

Syntax:

SetVar(name, value)

Parameters:

name 

The name of the security broker variable

value 

The value of the security broker variable.

Completion Codes:

 0: Normal completion

12: Syntax error or Security Broker error

Example:

SetVar('DEPT_ID',i:DEPT_ID)

Note:

The security broker variables created with this function can be used in Broker SQL Pattern files  with @{} symbols. For instance the DEPT_ID variable created in the above example can be used as @{DEPT_ID}.
